To prevent damage and ensure optimal performance during the installation of a plug valve, please observe the following four points:
1. Ensure the valve is in the open position. Pre-heat the pipeline, transferring as much heat as possible from the pipe to the plug valve, while avoiding prolonged direct heating of the valve itself.
2. Clean the pipe and the cut ends with abrasive cloth or a wire brush until the metal surfaces are bright and shiny. The use of steel wool is not recommended.
3. Cut the pipe squarely, deburr the edges, and measure the pipe diameter.
4. Apply flux to the exterior of the pipe and the interior of the solder cup, ensuring the flux completely covers the surfaces to be joined. Use the flux sparingly.
